Stillborn

Stillborn is a video produced within the space of Parallel Oaxaca. For the production, the gallery was converted into a modular film set made as some number of haunted rooms.

A continuously elusive and unspoken narrative centers on the ghost’s comings and goings. Unaware of its own death, the ghost experiences a confusion that leads it to witness unlived memories and future impossibilities. Suspended in a non-state of ~Limbo~, it is uncertain whether the ghost is ever the authority of its own actions and representations, aber warum? Cradled in the body’s mind – things are written only to be refuted and forgotten. The room is the body, the objects are the organs, the always-ongoing flesh of narrative.
